September 26: College Fair at Scheels Arena - All juniors will attend in the morning.
October 6: NDSCS Health Careers Day - Meet with current faculty and students from 12 allied health science departments. Sign up in the Counseling Office.
October 7: Manufacturing Day - Tour five different companies to learn about careers related to manufacturing. Sign up in the Counseling Office.
October 12: MSUM Sports Communication Conference. Explore the fastest growing careers in sports. www.mnstate.edu/sports-conference Free for high school students interested in PR, new media, technology and producing, writing and reporting, broadcasting, entrepreneurship, and sports photography.
October 14: Leadership Opportunity for Seniors - Seniors who would like to talk to Health 9 classes about their high school experience and choices they have made are invited to schedule a time. Sign up in the Counseling Office.
October 27: College Application Day - Apply to college FREE today! Select Minnesota schools waive their application fees today, and you can apply to one North Dakota school for free today. Periods 1-8 in both computer labs (1322 or 2326).
November 3: Mock Interview Day for Seniors - All seniors will participate in a mock interview with a professional from the business community. This is scheduled through English IV classes.
November 8: Transportation programs showcase at M|State in Moorhead. Automotive Service and Diesel Equipment Technology programs are highlighted. Talk with current students and staff and tour the brand new labs. Reserve your spot by emailing carissa.engstrom@minnesota.edu
December 1: Health, Tech & Trades Career Expo - All freshmen will participate in this hands-on career expo to learn more about careers that require 2- and 4-year degrees.
Spring Semester will include College Night, ACT Week, Career Week, and AVID College Week. Stay tuned for prizes!

Welcome Back!
The smell of new shoes and freshly sharpened pencils means it's one of my favorite times of year! Back to school time is a fresh start for everybody. You can choose to make a difference every day you come to school. Now might be a great time for you to start exploring different careers through Job Shadows. Maybe you want to learn more about the "other side" of school as a Service Learning student. Perhaps you are strapped for cash and need a part-time job or need to start applying for scholarships.
